Cartoonology Devotional 06-24-09 E. Larry Ross Cartoonology. There is great theology in cartoons and comics. Turn to the news channel on TV or look at the headlines in your newspaper and mostly what you find is evil and bad news. It is no secret that bad news sells best. Couple that with the liberal slant of today’s media, and you could spend most of your life in severe clinical depression. This is one reason my wife and I spend a lot of time listening to Christian radio and TV. Sometimes it is music and other times it is preaching or bible study. If there is not much on the radio, my wife will play Christian music CD’s. And thanks to DVR, we are able to record programs on TV that we can later watch during the evening. We don’t watch a lot of live TV anymore. If you climb into our car or my pickup truck, you will most likely find the radios tuned to Christian channels. In my pickup it will be contemporary or bluegrass music. My wife prefers more southern gospel. At certain times, we will tune in a conservative talk-show host, but even that gets a little tiring sometimes. It amazes me how many Christians never listen to Christian music. There is so much good music in almost any genre you are looking for, either on the radio or on CD’s. You can even download it. If you and your family are not doing this, give it a try. I think you will find yourself more spiritually charged and energized. Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 06-24-09 Click on the link here to see all previous Cartoonology Devotionals.
