Cartoonology. There is great theology in cartoons.
All things are possible with God, but one thing is certain; He knows us and loves us. LOL is a text-messaging shortcut for Laughing out Loud or Lots of Love for those of us who aren’t text messaging savvy. The cartoon could be interpreted either way. God’s love is best demonstrated in His Son, Jesus, who died for us on the cross. That was no laughing matter but I suppose God does laugh sometimes at our silly notions.
Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Peter Mackenzie, a Methodist preacher of a generation ago, living in England, preached an early sermon from John 3:16. Gypsy Smith tells us that the preacher, after announcing the text, said, "There are two striking things in my text: When God loves, He loves a world. When He gives, He gives His Son." Such is the boundless love of the eternal Father of mankind.

God loves the world, but the most amazing thing is he loves me. You can say the same. When Jesus encountered the rich young ruler the scripture tells us:
Mark 10:21 (NKJV)
21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him. . . .
When Jesus stood at the tomb of Lazarus and wept, the crowd responded:
John 11:36 (NKJV)
36 Then the Jews said, "See how He loved him!"
When you feel unloved, remember that God’s love is unending and that His love is unconditional. And don’t be surprised. He made you and he knows you and your heart. God loves you. He knows your cell phone number, too. Acknowledge His love and love Him back. 02-02-09
