Cartoonology. There is great theology in cartoons and comics.
Going shopping sure has changed since I was a kid. I remember going with my mother downtown to shop the stores along Main Street. Then, the first plaza opened out in the suburbs, and that was amazing. When the first mall came in, we thought we had arrived.
I also remember going Friday nights to the local grocer with my parents. Mom had to make sure she got all she needed, because there would be no driving the car to the store during the week. You could walk or ride a bike but not the car. One of my sisters and I sneaked one day and drove the car to the store. She was old enough to drive, and in those days, Dad never removed the keys nor locked the doors! I was scared to death for several days hoping we would not be found out.
Change is inevitable. Unfortunately, not all change is good. Our world is very unstable politically, socially, geologically and otherwise. We can take great hope, though, because God is the one stable Person we can count on.
Malachi 3:6 (NLT)
