| Share on Facebook  Cartoonology Devotional 04-28-09 E. Larry Ross Cartoonology. There is great theology in cartoons and comics. We often speak of salvation by grace, and it is true that we are saved only by the grace of God. However, salvation is a matter of the will, as well. There is a way to salvation, and that way is Jesus. There must also be a will to receive it. Matthew 16:24-25 (KJV)
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. An old, black slave was once asked to explain the doctrine of election thinking he would be stumped by the question. He responded, "Brethren, it is this way: The Lord is always voting fer a man, and the Devil is always voting agin him; then the man hisself votes, and that breaks the tie!" Failure to make a choice for Christ is in effect a choice to reject Him. Jesus said: Matthew 12:30 (NKJV)
