I love cartoons and have noticed through the years that they quite often contain a spiritual message or hint. Cartoons often depict the culture of our day. Cartoonology Devotional 08-03-09
Cartoonology. There is great theology in cartoons and comics.
You can get a dog to do almost anything through rewards. People respond to rewards, too. But we need to be careful about being motivated by rewards only. There is a higher motivation – love, and even a dog can be motivated by love.

M. E. Rainey, from Knoxville, Tennessee, gave his fox terrier, Tiny, to a friend who was going to New Orleans. One day as Rainey was preparing to lock up his store; he heard a scratching at the door. He opened it and there was Tiny. It had taken Tiny eleven weeks and three days to make the trip, which was seven hundred and seventy-one miles. That's an amazing story! How much more amazing is the love which God has for us. Why did He send His Son to die on the cross for us? All because of His love.
After His resurrection, Jesus had one question for Peter, "Do you love me?" It was a painful reminder of his denying Jesus, but it pricked his heart and Peter responded, "Lord you know I love you." That is the point isn't it – that the Lord knows you love Him? Do you?
